Breakfast is a twice a day activity in Spain and Menorca is no exception. The first part of breakfast starts around 07:00 or 08:00 with coffee and toast with jam or olive oil. The second breakfast kicks off between 10.00 and 10.45, is a bit heavier and is normally eaten at a café or a restaurant; it consists of ham, sausage and Spanish omelette.

Churros are popular in Menorca and are sold by street vendors during the morning hours.
Lunchtime in Menorca starts around 13.00 and goes on until 15.00 and is then followed by a siesta. Favourite lunchtime dishes are crab, deep-fried squid, fish in tomato sauce and mushrooms. There is no shortage of restaurants for both lunch and dinner in Menorca, with most establishments offering an array of both international and local dishes. Fresh seafood is plentiful on the island, while there are also several fast-food outlets and a handful of smaller restaurants.
